Russia’s Digital TV (DTV) has undertaken a management review of its relationship with key partners.
As a result, reports Kommersant, some of them will come under its control.
DTV is a joint venture between VGTRK and Rostelecom and manages their thematic channels. It has already secured a 51% stake in 0+ Media, which sells advertising on children’s channels, and the same share in the animation studio Steam Engine.
It is also preparing to buy into Signal Media, one of the largest distributors of thematic channels on the Russian market.
In the latter case, it is likely to create a joint venture which it will control and through which it will distribute its channels.
