The Q2 2018 net subscriber trend for Telenet’s video, broadband internet and fixed-line telephony services shows improved annualised churn.
The Belgian cable operator said this is due to its latest marketing campaigns and fixed-term promotions.
Subscribers to Telent’s basic and enhanced video services reached 2,003,200 at June 30, 2018. In Q2 2018, the cabler lost 8,900 net video subscribers, representing a better subscriber trend as compared to recent quarters. At June 30, 2018, 1,783,000 of its video customers had upgraded to higher video services.
At June 30, 2018, Telenet served 2,159,200 unique customer relationships, which represented approximately 65% of the 3,333,300 homes passed by its HFC network across the Flemish and Brussels footprint and including the extended footprint in Brussels, Wallonia and Luxembourg which the operator acquired in June last year through the acquisition of SFR Belux.
At the end if Q2 Telenet provided 4,978,100 fixed services consisting of 2,003,200 video, 1,679,400 broadband internet and 1,295,500 fixed-line telephony subscriptions at June 30, 2018.
In addition, approximately 89% of its video subscribers had upgraded to our higher ARPU enhanced video platform at June 30, 2018.
