Thomas Arnoldner new CEO of A1 Telekom Austria

July 26, 2018 13.15 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

The supervisory board of A1 Telekom Austria Group has approved the appointment of Thomas Arnoldner as CEO with effect from September 1, 2018.

Arnoldner, currently Vice President Sales & Service at T-Systems Austria, was nominated for the position in April 2018.

A1 Telekom Austria Group’s supervisory board also decided to align the terms of all executive board mandates and to early extend the contracts of Alejandro Plater, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Siegfried Mayrhofer, Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Plater and Mayrhofer as well as Arnoldner are appointed until August 31, 2021, with an extension option to the statutory maximum of 5 years until August 31, 2023.

“We are pleased to announce that with Thomas Arnoldner’s appointment as CEO we have recruited a renowned ICT executive. It is equally important to us to emphasise our confidence in the strong management team,” said Edith Hlawati, chair of the supervisory board. “With the early extension of the contracts of Alejandro Plater and Siegfried Mayrhofer we underline continuity in the management team.”
