Mediaset has debuted its new free-to-view streaming platform Mediaset Play.
It’s a combination of the Italian broadcaster’s popular commercial channels, supplemented by a mix of film and series.
Mediaset Play can be viewed through selected smart TVs, online, and through dedicated apps for iOS and Android.
Channels Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4, 20, La5, Italia 2, Mediaset Extra, Focus, Top Crime, Iris and TGCOM24 can be streamed live with shows also available from the beginning through Restart.
The service launched on Friday, but immediately ran into problems during the streaming of the World Cup match between France and Uruguay.
