The Czech Republic’s Digi TV has secured exclusive rights to Italy’s Serie A for the next three seasons.
In a statement, it says that Serie A will complement the coverage it already offers of the Bundesliga, Premier League and Sky Bet Championship.
Digi adds that it will be making another major announcement on football rights next Wednesday, July 11.
Coverage of Serie A will be offered on Digi’s proprietary channels Digi Sport 1 HD, Digi Sport 2 HD and Digi Sport 3 HD from next season. These are available on the Nova Digi TV CZ internet and Digi2Go satellite platforms in the Czech Republic and can also be received in neighbouring Slovakia.
However, Digi’s sports coverage is not confined to football and it provides up to 17 sports channels in its Sport Plus package.
Digi TV is operated by Digi CZ, which has been owned by the Czech investment group Lama Energy Group since 2015.
