Kaltura has updated its TV Platform Player, promising playback in less than a second.
The Kaltura TV Platform Player, consisting of a new web player and new versions of its native SDKs, has been developed specifically to provide viewers with the ultimate cloud TV viewing experience.
Kaltura claims the player loads at rates 20% faster than those of its competitors.

The new Kaltura TV Platform Player is already live in production with multiple customers including Viacom18 with its VOOT service, one of Asia’s largest Cloud TV services with tens of millions of monthly users.
The Kaltura TV Platform Player supports all common web browsers. Its fully native SDKs cover Android TV, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV, as well as Google Chromecast, TVs and devices with Chromecast built in. On mobile, the player’s SDKs for iOS and Android provide viewers with an intuitive and native playback experience with full plugin support. Kaltura’s player also supports downloadable videos for secure offline viewing.
