Telenet has reportedly place a non-binding bid for Brutélé, the operating company of Walonian cable network VOO.
According to, De Tijd, the Liberty Global company intends to force a takeover of Brutélé, though there are no details of the price or the timing of such an offer.
The company is valued at around €300 million.
However, Telenet may not be the only company that holds an interest in VOO.
In April, Orange put forward what it described as a “declaration of interest” in VOO. It follows an agreement that will see VOO offer its mobile service via the Telenet network from next year.
VOO offers triple play services on the networks owned by Nethys and Brutélé in Wallonia and parts of Brussels, and is the equivalent of Telenet, who operates services in Flanders and others parts of Brussels. Orange Belgium has third-party access to the Telenet cable networks.
