German pay-TV channel Spiegel TV Wissen will join Sky Deutschland’s line-up on July 1, 2018.
With the move, Sky customers in Germany and Austria will be able to receive two channels from the Spiegel group. The cooperation began in 2009 with the exclusive distribution of Spiegel Geschichte.
“Our customers are fascinated by high-quality journalistic documentaries and reports from Germany. We are therefore very pleased to expand our long-standing cooperation. With Spiegel TV Wissen, we ideally complement our portfolio and present even more content made in Germany,” said Thomas Henkel, Executive Vice-President Strategy of Sky Deutschland.
The channel will be offered in SD resolution and form part of Sky’s Entertainment package and on-demand services.
Spiegel Geschichte and Spiegel TV Wissen are operated by Spiegel TV Geschichte und Wissen GmbH & Co. KG, a joint venture between Spiegel TV and Autentic based in Munich-Oberhaching.
