The changes that Discovery is implementing at TVN since acquiring the Polish broadcaster from Scripps Networks Interactive are gathering momentum.
Presserwis reports that its thematic channels will be divided into three categories, namely lifestyle (TVN Style, TLC, Food Channel, Travel Channel, HGTV and Discovery Life), factual (Discovery, TVN Turbo, Discovery Turbo Xtra and Discovery Historia) and features (TVN Siedem and TVN Fabula).
There will also be changes in ad sales and some shedding of staff as Discovery and TVN’s operations continue to be integrated in Poland.
However, only minimal changes are likely to take place in information and digital parts of the business.
Discovery agreed to buy Scripps in July 2017 in a cash and stock transaction worth $14.6 billion.
The deal received the approval of the EC in June this year.
More recently, Piotr Korycki was appointed the head of Discovery and TVN in Poland this May.
