Poland’s Telewizja has officially acquired the information and entertainment-based TV channel Superstacja.
Up until now, Superstacja has been owned by Zygmunt Solorz, the founder and majority owner of Polsat and its parent company Cyfrowy Polsat, and his close business associate Heronim Ruta.
Polsat’s portfolio now includes no fewer than three information channels, namely Polsat News, Superstacja and Polsat News 2.
This is considered to be too many by the broadcaster and Polsat News 2 will shortly change its format.
A change for Superstacja, which has been on air since October 2, 2006, is also on the cards.
