In Norway, Canal Digital and TV 2 have extended the deadline for carriage deal by 44 hours in order for viewers to watch the Iceland v Norway friendly football match.
Canal Digital’s customers were in danger of losing TV 2’s channels, as the two parties are currently in dispute over the conditions of carriage of TV 2 on the Canal Digital platform, and TV 2 was to be removed on Friday.
“This agreement will be very important for both TV 2 and Telenor. We agree that we need some more time and have managed to agree on several important questions. There are still some discussions that remain, but it is very likely that we will reach a good deal for our customers,” said Ragnar Kårhus, CEO of Canal Digital.
