RTP has joined an increasing number of broadcasters confirming that it will be screening the Fifa World Cup in the 4K format.
The Portuguese public broadcaster will begin its 4k transmissions with the opening match
that pitches hosts Russia against Saudi Arabia. It will complete with the final on 15 July.
A total of 28 games will be broadcast.
4K coverage will be carried on NOS, Meo and Vodafone through a dedicated RTP 4K channel.
RTP has previously broadcast the 2016 European Championships in 4K.
