Its replacing the current Sport SFR brand with that of RMC (Radio Monte Carlo) for a new TV bouquet.
While Altice was not present in the bidding for the French League 1 rights its contracted to the Champions League and Europa League, as well as the English Premier League.
As well as being carried on Altice’s own networks it will also be made available to third party distributors, who will be able to take advantage of its €600 million annual budget.
It will also use many of the moderators familiar from RMC’s radio channel.
RMC will make its debut on August 10, at the start of the new Premier League season.
