Digi Communications has completed the acquisition of the leading Hungarian alternative telco Invitel almost a year after the deal was first announced.
Quoting a stock exchange announcement, ZF says that the amount paid for the transaction was €135.4 million.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, under the terms of the deal Invitel will provide network and IT services to Digi worth HUF2.8 billion (€8.75 million) annually over a 10-year period.
Meanwhile, Digi will supply network services to Invitel worth HUF500 million a year.
Although the deal received regulatory approval from the Hungarian competition authority in early May, it came with strings attached.
Romanian-owned Digi is already one of the leading providers of pay-TV and broadband services in Hungary.
