The Latvian incumbent Lattelecom has suffered a major outage to its internet and interactive TV services.
In a statement, the company says that it was observed on Saturday, May 26 from 12.00 until 18.04 and affected over 80,000 of its customers.
It adds that the network issues it experienced were due to an unexpected IP messaging system that was fixed within two hours.
Lattelecom is owned by the Latvian state (51%) and Tilts Communications, a subsidiary of Telia (49%).
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, it is currently in the process of rebranding its interactive TV service Helio iTV.
