The Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus has teamed up with Amediateka Home of HBO to launch a new product aimed at subscribers to the multiscreen service Online TV.
Known as Kino Premium, it offers 30 channels from NTV Plus’s Cinema package and all the serials from Amediateka’s premium library for R499 (€6.8) a month.
Although Kino Premium is currently available via ntvplus.tv and NTV-Plus TV iOS and Android applications, it will at some stage in the future also be offered to Apple TV users.
NTV-Plus notes that views of movies on Online TV have grown by 40% a month since May 2017, when the thematic packages Cinema, Cognitive, Children’s and Night were added to the offer.
Now, the number of subscribers to these packages exceeds 20% of the total number of subscribers.
Online TV now provides viewers with over 190 thematic channels.
