T-Mobile in the Netherlands has issued a much improved TV Everywhere app, which they call TV Anywhere.
The app is part of the consumer offer of T-Mobile fixed line platform T-Mobile Thuis (Home), and now offers 28 linear channels to watch anywhere in the Netherlands as well as while travelling in the European Union.
The new version offers a wealth of new features including going back seven days in the EPG and watch any programme that is available for catch-up; pause a programme and pick up on the point where you left; arrange and organise favourite channels; channels switching by swiping left or right. Existing features are pause live TV, go back or fast forward.
The new TV Anywhere app supports Google Chromecast and will also feature Airplay in the near future. The app was developed by Hilversum-based Stoneroos. And by the looks and features of it, this must be a newly branded version of the existing TV Anywhere app from Knippr.
The move is part of an upgrade of the current T-Mobile Thuis TV platform, which will also include a move to Apple TV later this year.
