Romania’s Digi Communications has posted a net profit of RON68 million (€14.8 million) for the first quarter, or 6.5% less than in the corresponding period last year.
At the same time, reports ZF, its revenues rose by 2.7% to RON1 billion.
ZF notes that Digi began trading on the Bucharest Stock Exchange exactly a year ago, with a record listing of RON940 million for a private company. However, since then the value of its shares has fallen by 18% and the company’s capitalisation reduced by RON800 million.
Digi (RCS&RDS) is the leading pay-TV operator in Romania and also has a strong presence in neighbouring Hungary.
In addition, it provides services in Spain.
