Orange Spain has launched Orange Series 4K, a channel with over 1,000 hours of TV series.
The offer includes exclusive new productions such as Sony’s Snatch, thanks to a new agreement with the studio, plus recent series such as House of Cards, Community, Masters of Sex, The Blacklist, Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in 4K-UHD quality.
Last December, Orange has signed an exclusive agreement with Sony Pictures Television and is adding UHD content to its TVOD platform in Spain. With this deal, Sony premieres, including Snatch, and over 50 classic films in 4K quality will be added.
The channel will be available via the Orange TV Cine y Series package for EUR 9.95 a month, with an introductory offer for EUR 4.95 for the first 3 months).
The launch comes after the operator begun rolling out its new 4K UHD set-top box last year, allowing subscribers to access 4K content and channels such as Futbol 4K, Canal Cocina 4K and Odisea 4K as well as a number of the most popular series from Netflix and movies from Wuaki.
The company had 641,000 customers subscribing to Orange TV at the end of March, up 19.6% year on year.
