Lithuania’s Supreme Administrative Court has dismissed an appeal by the cable operator Init regarding the temporary suspension of the Russian channel RTR Planeta.
In a statement, the Lithuanian Radio and Television Commission (RTK) says that it ordered the suspension of retransmissions of the channel, which is also known as Russia RTR and Rossiya RTR, on February 14 for a period of one year.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the regulator fined Init €150,000 last month for not complying with its decision to suspend RTR Planeta.
