The Valencian regional government in Spain has approved a minimum of €55 million in funding for the new public broadcaster’s TV channel À Punt.
El Economista reports that the funding, which will be provided to La Corporació Valenciana de Mitjans de Comunicació (CVMC), À Punt’s operator, is for the years 2018, 2019 and 2020.
The new public broadcaster launched a radio service last December, while its TV channel began tests on April 25.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Spanish regional TV stations are set to receive over €900 million in public funding this year.
