Telfort Fiber TV and Glashart Media choose Stoneroos OTT Now!

April 29, 2018 09.21 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Telfort Fiber TV and Glashart Media, both sub-brands of KPN, are using the white-labeled platform OTT Now! platform from Hilversum-based Stoneroos for their OTT services.

Stoneroos introduced the platform in September under the name OTT Now! The new Telfort Fiberglass TV and Glashart Media iPad apps were developed by by the company. Using the apps, subscribers can on their iPad watch, pause and record on the home network.

The apps are equipped with an extensive set of features, including Live TV, an easy-to-use TV guide, a personal Dashboard, Smart search and a VOD library. On top of that there is the Companion app feature which makes it possible to connect with- and control multiple set-top boxes; users are able to manage their recorder, switch channels and use trick play.

The cooperation between Stoneroos and the KPN sub-brands has a long history. First, Stoneroos was responsible for the design and development of the Amino set-top box TV interface. This was later expanded with an app for the tablets, making it possible to communicate with the set-top box via an API that was developed by Stoneroos.

using this feature made it possible to pause, play and switch channels of Live and On Demand streams on the television. In addition, all products use the enriched EPG data of Stoneroos. These EP Gdata, coming from the EPGdata.tv service (by Stoneroos), contain services and products including images, social media links and other relevant information.

Dutch cable operator Delta, that serves the province of Zeeland, has also deployed OTT Now! for its new interactive IPTV platform.
