Vivendi has put its 19.19% stake in the Italian media giant Mediaset into a trust, communications regulator Agcom said Wednesday.
It means the French company now has a direct hold of less than 10% of the voting rights in the broadcaster.
Last year, Agcom ruled Vivendi violated Italy’s media antitrust law by building up controlling stakes in broadcaster Mediaset and telecom operator Telecom Italia Media.
It was given a year to address the matter.
