Poland’s K2 Media has launched a new channel aimed at a mostly female audience.
Known as Nobox TV, it offers a wide range of programming, 90% of which is produced in-house, that covers such subjects as DIY, cosmetology, herbal medicine, astrology, legal advice, sport and fitness. All told, it will premier over 370 hours of programming a year.
Nobox TV is initially being made available on the Katowice Kosztowy DTT multiplex, which reaches some 3.7 million viewers in Silesia. However, negotiations are ongoing with cable and satellite operators and it will soon become available in many other parts of the country.
K2 Media is majority owned by the Nucity group, which produces programmes for Poland’s largest TV stations, and Nobox TV is distributed by Delegata, a company that specialises in serving thematic channels.
