Apple has San Francisco, the BBC is introducing Reith, now Netflix is bringing in its own custom typeface.
Called Netflix Sans, the streaming service is moving away from Gotham, towards its own bespoke font in part because of the cost of buying in a distinctive font.
Netflix brand design lead Noah Nathan told It’s Nice That its new design would create an “ownable and unique” element for the brand.
Nathan says the formation of the letters is both clean and neutral.
Netflix Sans comes in different weights including regular, light, thin, medium, bold and black.
