The Belarusian public broadcaster Belteleradiocompany (BT) will begin switching its TV channels to HD from March 29 to March 30.
In a statement, it says that the first transmissions in the format will be seen by cable and IPTV subscribers in the capital, Minsk, and the Minsk region.
The transition will be undertaken gradually, with HD signals being available in all parts of the country by November.
BT operates a total of seven TV channels (Channel Belarus 1-5 inclusive, the international Belarus 24 and NTV-Belarus, offering the best shows produced by Russia’s NTV).
