TVPlayer is adding a slate of digital first channels to its platform. They include Fail Amy, Pet Collective and Cheddar, which this week secured $22 million in a new funding round.
Further channels will be added in the next few weeks across a range of genres across entertainment, news, documentary, sport and drama.
Scott Kewley, COO, TVPlayer said the platform was keen to demonstrate the convergence of audience between broadcast and digital channels on its cloud-based TV platform. “We know that our millennial audience is watching this digital-first content on different platforms. We see there is value in aggregating digital first and broadcast content into one brand safe environment with a premium offering.”
TVPlayer offers over 75 free-to-air and 38 pay channels to almost two million monthly active users in the UK.
It is available on desktop and a free to download app on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, Amazon Fire, XBOX, Roku, Windows 10 and Apple TV.
