The free-to-air TV channels of German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 are now available not only in SD, but also in HD resolution on German TV platform waipu.tv.
The HD versions of Sat.1, ProSieben, kabel eins, sixx, ProSieben Maxx, SAT.1 Gold and kabel eins Doku are offered at no extra charge within subscription package Perfect which costs €9.99 per month.
In total, waipu.tv now carries 52 HD channels.
The platform operated by Exaring, in majority owned by German media company Freenet, had around 102,000 paying customers at the end of 2017. 464,000 customers are registered, but only use the free service.
By the end of 2018, Freenet expects waipu.tv to reach more than 1 million registered users and more than 250,000 paying customers.
