Ginx Esports TV launches on Hot Israel

March 20, 2018 18.42 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Ginx Esports TV will launch on Hot Telecommunications in Israel. The channel also announced the Far Cry Day special.

Ginx Esports TV, which is launching on March 21, features Esports tournaments together with news, lifestyle, documentary and presenter-led live shows filmed and produced at its London headquarters. This represents the third launch in Israel for the 24/7 linear channel and comes at a time of continued expansion.

“With the growth of competitive gaming internationally, the appetite for an esports TV channel has never been greater. Hot’s cutting edge multi-media network will enable us to deliver the best esports content to a new audience, perfectly aligned with the millennial profile of esports fans,” said Michiel Bakker, CEO of Ginx Esports TV.

Ginx Esports TV will be dedicating a full day to Far Cry, in preparation for Ubisoft’s fifth instalment in the successful franchise.

On March 27, Far Cry 5 will be released globally on Playstation, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. To celebrate this, and from 5:30pm GMT, viewers from across the globe will be able to enjoy an entire night dedicated to franchise on Ginx Esports TV.

The audience will be able to experience reviews of previous titles, Far Cry archived footage and more. Ginx Esports TV will be interviewing Far Cry 5’s creative director, Dan Hay and Jean-Sebastien Decant, Narrative Director to give viewers a taste of what’s to expect from the release.

At 9pm that day, Ginx Esports TV will air the very first episode of its new show, Drop, where pro-esports players get to play a more casual game on camera. This episode will feature two players from the UK esports organisation, Endpoint, playing Far Cry 5 for the very first time.

“It’s a real pleasure to be invited by GINX TV to work on new gaming related content. As a growing UK organisation, having the ability to work alongside GINX TV and produce new content will help raise not only our profile, but also the players involved and the wider grass roots esports community,” said Adam Jessop, CEO of Endpoint.
