German regional network operator envia TEL has opted for the IPTV wholesale solution from Austrian service provider Ocilion.
The agreement enables the company to supply its more than 100 partners and their around 100,000 customers with a TV service through its own fibre-optic network.
German public utilities company Stadtwerke Strom Plauen is envia TEL’s first partner having launched an IPTV service using the white-label solution from Ocilion. The regional electricity supplier has over 33,000 customers.
“With Ocilion’s IPTV wholesale service we can offer our partners an attractive complete package which makes the entry into the world of IPTV easier than ever,” said envia TEL’s Managing Director Stephan Drescher. “They receive an extensive video-on-demand offer for their existing network infrastructure without the need for their own investments and much more.”
“The feedback to our new TV service confirms that we have taken the right step,” added Drescher.
