BBC Worldwide has announced a restructure of the senior management team at its French production base as Gery Leymergie and Pierre-Marie Gadonneix take up new positions within the company.
The production base will now have two senior directors with Gery Leymergie promoted to Chief Content Officer, overseeing all factual and entertainment programming and Pierre-Marie Gadonneix as Chief Operating Officer responsible for the production teams and all operations. Both Gery and Pierre-Marie will report to Jacob Deboer, Global Commercial Director, Formats & Production.
Jacob Deboer commented: “The reorganisation of our senior team simplifies our reporting structure and with Gery and Pierre-Marie, both well established at BBC Worldwide and leading the business, 2018 is shaping up to be our busiest year ever.”
BBC Worldwide Productions France has recently been commissioned by Arte France to produce a new documentary, In Search of the Orient Express (working title). Another production in the pipeline is the 2nd series of the popular documentary The Secret Life of Cats (La Vie Secrète des Chats) which has been recommissioned by TF1.
BBC Worldwide Productions France was formed in 2009 and has introduced a wide range of popular British shows to French audiences. For 2018, the production base has a slate that includes Dancing with the Stars Series 9 (Danse avec les Stars) for TF1, Top Gear France Series 5 for RMC Decouverte and a 7th series of Great Bake Off (Le Meilleur Pâtissier) for M6 as well as developing several scripted formats.
