The Czech public broadcaster Ceska Televize (CT) will launch a DVB-T2 multiplex on March 29.
Quoting Petr Dvorak, CT’s CEO, Parabola reports that with the launch there will be a number of changes in the distribution of CT channels.
PS11, the third so-called transitional multiplex in the Czech Republic, will broadcast all CT’s HD channels, namely CT1 HD, CT2 HD, CT Sport HD, CT: D HD / CT art HD and CT Sport HD.
The changes will start on April 1, when CT:D/CT art in MPEG-2/SD will no longer be distributed by multiplex 3, operated by the Czech Digital Group (CDG). The vacated capacity will be allocated to Prima Krimi, the new channel operated by Prima.
Meanwhile, CT’s kids and art channels will for the time being be placed on the RS7 and other regional networks.
