Television remains the most popular medium in the Czech Republic despite the growing usage of mobile devices.
According to data produced by Nielsen Admosphere for the Association of Television Organisations (ATO), TV sets were found in 95% of Czech homes as of the end of 2017.
Moreover, 90% of TV homes had at least one flat screen. Czechs also watched more TV – an average of three hours 45 minutes daily at the end of 2017, compared to three hours 14 minutes 10 years earlier – and almost two thirds (62%) watched HD channels.
On the other hand, 59% of households had at least one smartphone, compared to 49% a year earlier, 56% (52%) notebooks and 25% (22%) tablets.
