The Czech DTH and IPTV platform operator Digi CZ has been granted exclusive rights to broadcast the German Bundesliga for the current and next three seasons until 2021.
Its subscribers will be able to watch games on Digi Sport 2 HD and Digi Sport 3 HD, both of which are part of Digi TV sports packages – the complementary Sport and separate Sport Plus.
Commenting on the development, Vladimir Rusnak, CEO of Digi CZ, said “We are constantly
watching and evaluating the interest of our sports fans and trying to bring a programme according to their wishes.
“The Bundesliga was absent on the Czech TV market since last fall. In a recent audience survey, we have verified the strong interest of our spectators in the German football league and we are happy that we can really provide fans with the football we want”.
Digi CZ’s offer already includes the English Premier League and Spain’s LaLiga.
