Sky has announced plans to bundle the full Netflix service into a brand new subscription pack, across Europe.
It means that Sky customers will have direct access to the streaming service through the Sky Q platform.
Pricing for the deal has not been announced, but the new ‘attractively-priced’ entertainment TV pack will combine both Sky TV and Sky content.
A dedicated app will be released for the Ultra HD compatible set-top and Netflix programmes promoted alongside Sky content.

By placing Sky and Netflix content side-by-side, along with programmes from the likes of HBO, Showtime, Fox and Disney, we are making the entertainment experience even easier and simpler for our customers. Our recent announcements mean we will extend our leadership in delivering customers the best viewing and user experience in Europe.”
This European partnership will see Netflix – along with the new Sky TV pack – launch on Sky Q in the UK and Ireland in the coming year. Netflix will launch on Sky Q platforms in Germany, Austria and Italy thereafter.

Of the UK’s major platforms, Netflix is already available on Virgin TV, BT TV and Freesat, but with a Sky Cinema subscriber more likely than not to also take Netflix, Sky is making sure that everything stays within the family.
The Netflix agreement will also extend to Sky’s streaming services including Now TV in the UK & Ireland and Italy, and Sky Ticket in Austria.
The news follows an announcement that Vodafone Deutschland has integrated Netflix in its home gateway GigaTV. In September 2016, Liberty Global was the first operator to sign an agreement with Netflix that integrates the app into devices in more than 30 countries.
