Media Group Ukraine (MGU) has teamed up with the mobile operator Kyivstar to launch a football multiscreen streaming TV service.
Known as Kyivstar Futbol TV, it is based on the OTT platform operated by Digital Screens and will become available to viewers from this spring, offering a mix of live broadcasts and top world championships, football TV channels, match highlights and football news.
Commenting on the development, Oleksiy Kurakin, MGU’s business development director, said: “We are pleased to work with the largest mobile phone market player. Leading the growing mobile internet marketplace requires new thematic products. This is the first experience in creating a Ukrainian service, where football content is NOT combined with any other TV or movie. And for the first time integrated with the newsline. The service is for fans. This will further expand specialised football content in one service and develop additional functionality that is interesting to football enthusiasts”.
