The Polish public broadcaster’s channel TVP Sport has become the exclusive partner of Intel Extreme Masters, ESL One and ESL Polish Championships.
As a result, TVP will show hundreds of hours of the most important esports on its internet channels (sport.tvp.pl), mobile app TVP Sport, Facebook (TVP Sport and TVP Esport) and YouTube), as well as on TVP Sport itself.
TVP has also acquired the rights to the Esport weekly programme and highlights of all ESL events. These will be made available exclusively to viewers in Polish.
TVP notes that the development is a historic moment for the ESL Polish Championship, which will be broadcast for the first time on TV.
TVP’s involvement with esports was inaugurated in Katowice on February 24 in a competition that pitted the 16 best teams from around the world in the Dota 2 tournament.
It is currently showing matches from IEM Katowice 2018, in which the final taking place next Sunday, March 4.
