Magine TV offers all RTL channels in HD quality

February 20, 2018 09.52 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

As the first OTT streaming provider, Magine TV has started offering all free-to-air TV channels of commercial broadcaster Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland in HD quality.

With RTL, VOX, Nitro, n-tv, Super RTL, RTL II, RTLplus and Toggo plus, the Comfort HD subscription package now comprises all major German free-TV channels in HD quality including the ProSiebenSat.1 channels and Eurosport 1. In total, 40 channels are part of the package. The subscription price remains unchanged at €10 per month.

The larger bouquet Deluxe HD for €20 per month includes all channels of Comfort HD as well as additional pay-TV channels. A total of 71 free-TV and pay-TV channels are aboard, 50 of which are in HD quality.

“With the agreement with Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland and Discovery Networks Deutschland on broadcasting their channels in HD, we have reached a milestone,” said Christoph Urban, Country Manager of Magine TV Deutschland. “Magine TV thus achieves the breakthrough in the German streaming market and further enhances its channel packages without additional costs for our customers. We now offer by far the best TV streaming portfolio in Germany with all relevant free-to-air channels in HD and are on an equal level with the providers of TV via DVB-T2 and cable.”

As a special offer for the launch of the new HD channels, Magine TV offers Comfort HD free of charge in the first month; subscriptions can be cancelled on a monthly basis.
