Ocilion partners with content4tv for pay-TV package

February 9, 2018 08.30 Europe/London By Jörn Krieger

Ocilion, the Austrian provider of end-to-end IPTV solutions for network operators, will add 22 pay-TV channels to its line-up, 20 of them in HD quality.

The distribution rights are supplied by TV channel carriage rights provider content4tv as part of a comprehensive partnership formed by both companies.

Through the agreement, Ocilion can offer its IPTV partners a pay-TV package for the whole family. It includes fiction, documentary, sports, children’s and music channels such as Cartoon Network HD, History HD, Classica HD, sportdigital HD and TNT Serie HD.

With the Replay function, viewers can jump back in time and watch shows from the past seven days at the push of a button. Programmes already running can be reset to the beginning at any time with the Restart function.

“The cooperation with content4tv enables Ocilion’s IPTV partners to offer a modern, attractive pay-TV package at an extremely competitive retail price,” said Martina Rutenbeck, Managing Partner of content4tv. “With the successful start into the new year, we are consistently pursuing our strategy of strengthening our B2B partners in the competition.”

Hans Kühberger, Managing Director of Ocilion, added: “Through the partnership with content4tv, we can offer our IPTV customers an exciting package with pay-TV channels for the whole family in best HD quality. As a special feature, full 7-day replay is offered for the popular documentary, children’s and entertainment channels – a great argument for network operators and viewers. Time-shifted television provides direct and very important added value for the user and is a major differentiation from DTH satellite reception.”
