AMC teams up with Czech Nova

February 5, 2018 11.20 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Czech Republic’s TV Nova has signed an exclusive commercial agreement with five AMC Networks International Central and Northern Europe (AMCNI CNE) TV channels.

Under its terms, the broadcaster will represent the channels – Minimax, Film+, Sport1, Sport2 and Spektrum – in all aspects of ordering, planning and placing TV advertising and sponsorship from March 1. Up until now, Atmedia represented AMCNI CNE in the Czech Republic.

Commenting on the development, Jan Vicek, executive and commercial director of TV Nova, said: Thanks to the exclusive representation of AMCNI CNE’s TV channels, we can offer our clients more thematic stations with a specific affinity.

In the coming days we will publish an addendum to the current business policy of selling to AMCNI CNE. We offer our clients additional alternative channel mixes from which they can choose. The amendment will not affect already concluded contracts and will not affect existing business partners”.

Viktor Rados, director of strategic and business developmemt at AMCNI CNE, added: “We are proud to announce this exclusive collaboration with TV Nova. We plan to increase our investment in quality content so that our stations have a better and more effective reach on different target groups”.
