The Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus has launched a service that allows current customers to watch the TV channels included in their satellite subscriptions on any device.
Known as ‘Online TV’, it will be available free of charge for two months after connection, followed by R199 (€2.84) a month regardless of the number of channels in the satellite subscription.
Features of ‘Online TV’ include catch-up, the purchase of individual programmes and broadcasts and access to the Amediateka library, which includes HBO.
Commenting on the new multiscreen service, NTV-Plus general director Mikhail Demin said: “The development of the digital component of the NTV-Plus business is aimed primarily at young audiences whose habits and preferences differ significantly from the traditional audience of satellite operators.
“At the same time, we are doing everything possible to comfortably and organically introduce “modern digital products to our reference audience, the operating environments of NTV-Plus subscribers. Modern family television viewing is not only a variety of formats, but also platforms and ways of delivering content. ”
