Levira has appointed Melika Kiilmaa as its head and Taavi Tapner its finance director, effective January 15 and February 1 respectively.
Commenting on the development, Tiit Tammiste, chairman of the management board at Levira, said: “We are sincerely glad that Melika and Taavi joined the Levira team. Both of them are professionals in their field who bring with them both fresh energy and the knowledge and skills that contribute to the development of the company.”
Kiilmaa added: “In addition to the management experience in the field of law, I have the strength to have a long-standing knowledge of telecommunications, which helps me effectively manage Levira as a professional provider of digital services”.
Tapner said: “Levira is a company with high potential, with the best specialists in its area, and I look forward to working with them with anticipation. I believe that my international financial management experience supports the development of the company, the implementation of the strategy and finding new business opportunities”.
Kiilmaa’s previous roles including heading the law office at Starman, while Tapner worked for a long time in the building materials industry.
Levira is based in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, and provides cloud, media and infrastructure services. It is one of the main broadcasting centres for TV channels in Northern Europe and the main operator of TV and radio broadcasting in Estonia.
