ProSiebenSat.1 and Discovery Communications have appointed Alexandar Vassilev as the CEO of 7TV, its joint streaming service in Germany.

Vassilev previously worked for Google as Product Manager for Google Search in the US. He will take up his new position with immediate effect.

Vassilev will be responsible for the strategic growth and further development of the OTT multiscreen platform launched in October 2017.

Christian Dankl, former interim head of 7TV and CEO of advertising-based VOD at ProSiebenSat.1, will move into the supervisory board of 7TV.
