UPC Polska plans to introduce 4K services in Poland in 2019, according to Frans-Willem de Kloet, the company’s MD and CEO.
Speaking in an online Q&A with subscribers, he added that such services will be available on the operator’s next platform and that while UPC has launched 4K in other markets this is just the beginning of the road.
De Kloet also said that UPC Polska plans to launch mobile telephony and mobile internet services in Q1 2019.
In addition, he said that UPC Polska remains positive about the UOKiK’s upcoming decision on the proposed take-over of Multimedia Polska.
At the same time, the company is looking for more acquisition opportunities and further building its network. From this year, the latter will reach significantly more single person households.
Other key points included that UPC Polska is working on adding the Horizon GO app to smart TVs and that its plans to introduce a 1Gbps internet offer sometime this year.
