The Ultra HD service offered by Sky Deutschland will become available on the cable network of Vodafone Deutschland (formerly Kabel Deutschland) from January 30, 2018.
On the two channels Sky Sport Bundesliga UHD and Sky Sport UHD, the German pay-TV broadcaster shows selected live football games of the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League in ultra-high resolution.
Sky Deutschland subscribers signed up for Sky Cinema can also access selected movies in Ultra HD quality through Sky On Demand.
Sky Deutschland’s Ultra HD service which launched on October 14, 2016 has so far been available via satellite on Astra (19.2° East), on the cable networks of Tele Columbus and Primacom (now PŸUR) and on Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV platform Entertain TV.
Unitymedia will also commence carriage of the two Sky Ultra HD channels on January 30, 2018, making the offer available on all large German cable networks.
