Telia enjoyed growth in its TV businesses in Sweden, Denmark and the Baltics Republics in 2017.
Results published by the company show that it ended the year with 787,000 TV subscriptions in Sweden, up from 765,000 in the corresponding period in 2016.
Meanwhile in Denmark, the company had 31,000 TV subscriptions (28,000) at year’s end.
In the two Baltic Republics in which it provides TV services, there were 242,000 (229,000) subscriptions in Lithuania and 185,000 (177,000) in Estonia.
However, in Finland, the number of TV subscriptions fell from 489,000 to 481,000 in 2017.
TV ARPU grew in all but two markets (Finland and Denmark) in the year. In Sweden, it amounted to SEK191 (SEK185).
There was a more mixed picture in terms of broadband subscriptions, with all three Nordics countries seeing falls and the two Baltic Republics rises. The reduction was sharpest in Finland, where the number fell from 497,000 to 464,000.
Telia group has net sales of SEK79,867 million in 2017, down from SEK84,178 million a year earlier.
Its operating income was SEK13,690 million (SEK21,090 million) and total net income SEK10,146 million (SEK6,496 million).
