German pay-TV operator Sky Deutschland will be able to continue screening the movies of Hollywood studio MGM.
The output deal with MGM Worldwide Television Distribution was renewed for several years; financial details were not disclosed.
With the agreement, Sky Deutschland secures the exclusive pay-TV and SVOD rights for Sky Go, Sky On Demand and Sky covering all current and older MGM productions.
The deal includes, for example, the 25th James Bond adventure with Daniel Craig, Tomb Raider with Alicia Vikander and Creed II with Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson.
All new releases from MGM will be shown on Sky at least one year before appearing on free-to-air TV.
