The M7 Group-owned Czech and Slovak DTH platform operator Skylink will implement important changes to its paid programme packages on March 1.
They will see the HD Plus, Multi HD and Mixbox packages withdrawn, while the Smart and Komplet packages will remain the same.
The Multi package will cost CZK399 (€15.7) a month, the Kombi package CZK409 a month and the Flexi 7 changed to Flexi 10, with a price of CZK299 a month.
Meanwhile, the one-off payment for the reactivation of a decoder card will be reduced to CZK200 and the one-time subscription fee for one or two years will remain unchanged.
Skylink notes that the financial conditions under which individual channels are acquired by programme providers have changed fundamentally in the last few years.
It adds that it undertook several large surveys last year to determine the value of programmes to customers in relation to costs.
Skylink also says that the last price changes for the Multi and Kombi packages took place on July 1, 2014 and October 1, 2013 respectively.
