German cable operator Unitymedia will offer two Ultra HD services from pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland from January 30, 2018.
Sky subscribers with the UHD recorder Sky+ will be able to receive Sky Sport Bundesliga UHD and Sky Sport UHD.
Furthermore, Unitymedia will add entertainment channel Anixe HD and religious channel Hope Channel to its unencrypted line-up on January 30, 2018.
As a special offer for sports fans, the cable company will make Eurosport 1 HD and TLC HD available free of charge to all customers during the Olympic Winter Games 2018. The channels are normally part of the subscription-based HD option. All customers will also be able to receive three pop-up channels from Eurosport providing additional coverage from the Olympics at no extra charge.
Unitymedia customers signed up for the HD option will gain access to Eurosport 360 1 HD, Eurosport 360 2 HD and Eurosport 360 3 HD from January 30. The three channels offering additional live coverage during large sports events were previously exclusively available to Sky subscribers.
