Eurosport will show a live game from Germany’s first-division football league Bundesliga in Ultra HD for the first time.
The match between 1. FC Köln and Borussia Dortmund will be transmitted in 4K quality on February 2, 2018 from 20.30 CET on UHD1 by HD+, the Ultra HD channel offered by German DTH platform HD+ on Astra (19.2° East). Pre-game coverage will start at 19.30 CET.
All HD+ customers with an Ultra HD TV set will be able to receive the match at no additional charge.
HD+ wants to show more sports coverage by Eurosport and further new series and formats on UHD1 by HD+ this year, according to Georges Agnes, Managing Director Operations and Product Development at HD Plus.
Eurosport 2 HD Xtra which screens live Bundesliga games is offered exclusively to DTH households in Germany on the HD+ platform.
